Excellent Piece from Rod Dreher

The piece is here (link requires registration). It's something I've recently experienced at a food blog, of all places, where the bloghostess and many of her readers were hyperventilating at the thought of four more years of George W. Bush.
Ms. Kho showed the true colors of liberal tolerance by banning me from the comments boxes. I don't really think I was out of line, but some people confuse a good argument with rudeness.

I am one of the truly happy people that W gets re-elected! I came across your post from that food blog; and it was acrid, all right, and I don't even think you're being rude. Just to share with you, I've got people who haven't spoken to me in ages who dropped me nasty IM messages because in my nickname I wrote i was happy for W!
And that, happens in Singapore, thousands of miles away, to me, who's not American, by people who are not American!

thanks for your comments. I was trying *not* to be rude or incendiary. Unfortunately some people just can't bear divergence from the groupthink.
I hope to visit Singapore next year, since a dear friend of mine lives there and is active in the music business.
